Winter Park

Winter Park is known for its charming downtown area with brick-lined streets, galleries, museums, and upscale shops and restaurants. College Park

Located just north of downtown Orlando, College Park is a historic neighborhood with craftsman bungalows and Tudor revival homes dating back to the 1920s. Edgewater Drive is the main thoroughfare running through College Park lined with restaurants, antique shops, and boutiques. Don’t miss a photo op in front of the iconic College Park sign at the intersection of Edgewater Drive and Princeton Street. Take a stroll through Dartmouth Park or grab a coffee at one of the indie cafes like Austin’s Coffee or The Boheme. College Park is also home to Princeton Elementary School, one of the oldest operating schools in Orlando.

Thornton Park

Thornton Park is one of Orlando’s first planned residential communities located just east of downtown. This hip neighborhood has a vibrant restaurant and nightlife scene. Start your evening with dinner at Ceviche, Luke’s Kitchen, or any of the other chef-driven eateries. Then head to Burton’s Thornton Park for craft cocktails or Graffiti Junktion Thornton Park for beers, arcade games, and live music. During the day, check out the many local shops and boutiques along East Washington Street and Summerlin Avenue. Don’t miss Lake Eola Park, a scenic green space with a walking trail circling the lake. Look out for the iconic fountain in the middle of the lake that puts on a water and light show at specific times.

Mills 50

Mills 50 is one of Orlando’s most diverse neighborhoods known for its international restaurants and markets. The neighborhood gets its name from Colonial Drive, which is State Road 50, and Mills Avenue. This multicultural area has cuisine representing cultures from around the world. Some restaurant highlights in Mills 50 include Hawkers Asian Street Fare for Malaysian street food, Domu for ramen, Pig Floyd’s Urban Barbakoa for BBQ fusion, and Black Rooster Taqueria for tacos. After dinner, stop by Guesthouse for craft cocktails or The Hammered Lamb for a dive bar atmosphere. Don’t forget to stock up on fresh produce and specialty ingredients at one of the international grocery stores.

Audubon Park

Situated between Baldwin Park and Winter Park, Audubon Park is a residential neighborhood with charming bungalows and oak-lined streets. Many homes in the area are historic residences built in the 1920s and 1930s in the Craftsman, Tudor, and Mediterranean Revival architectural styles. The neighborhood gets its name from the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey located on the shores of Lake Sybelia. This conservation center helps rehabilitate injured raptors and houses over 20 species of hawks, owls, eagles, and more. Walk along the lake and you may spot some of these majestic birds in their enclosures.

Baldwin Park

Located between Winter Park and Orlando proper, Baldwin Park is a pedestrian-friendly community with homes, shops, restaurants, and entertainment clustered around the beautiful Lake Baldwin. Hop on the paved walking and biking paths that wind through the neighborhood and around the lake. Make sure to stop by Baldwin Park Village Center, the retail hub of the neighborhood. Grab a burger at Flippers Pizzeria or do some boutique shopping. Don’t miss the weekly Farmer’s Market held each Sunday behind New Broad Street. Baldwin Park also hosts Orlando’s biggest St. Patrick’s Day festival with live music, food trucks, kids’ activities and more.

Lake Nona

Lake Nona is one of Orlando’s fastest growing communities located near Orlando International Airport. This master-planned development has a strong focus on innovative technology and healthy living. The Lake Nona Medical City campus houses hospitals, research institutes, and the University of Central Florida Health Sciences Campus. The neighborhood also boasts some of Orlando’s best recreation amenities including the 24-acre Lake Nona Golf & Country Club, the USTA National Campus tennis center, miles of wooded trails, and a waterfront community park. Visit the Lake Nona Farmers Market every Sunday for farm-fresh produce, prepared foods, local vendors, and family activities.

Ivanhoe Village

Ivanhoe Village is a trendy neighborhood just north of downtown Orlando. Nestled between two lakes, Lake Ivanhoe and Lake Formosa, the neighborhood has a quaint, walkable retail district. Have brunch at one of the local favorites like White Wolf Cafe, Maxine’s on Shine, or Santiago’s Bodega. Make sure to stop by the main landmark, the Ivanhoe Village Arch. Don’t miss a chance to go antiquing at one of the vintage and thrift shops along North Orange Avenue. At night, grab drinks on the patio at The Guesthouse or catch some live music at Will’s Pub, a staple Orlando music venue. Ivanhoe Village also hosts a monthly art walk on the fourth Saturday showcasing local artists and performers.
